Recently, a group from our church went up to Provincetown on the Cape. Provincetown is known as a prominent gay/lesbian resort town in the summer. But it's so much more than that. It's full of beautiful sand dunes, miles of stunning beaches and a very welcoming downtown. So many people avoid going (I think) because they are afraid that only gay people go there. There are plenty of heterosexual couples/people there. And frankly, I feel sorry for the gay community. Because as much as they love P-Town as it is called, I think there is something to be said that one of the few places that members of the gay community can feel themselves is on this extremely exiled portion of the northeast.
This was the view as we woke up the first day. No one can argue with this landscape.
