Getting there....

Before we get to the Mexico pics, I am sure some of you are wondering how the kids did on the flights. We had two legs each way. New York to Houston was a three hour leg followed by a shorter two hour flight to Puerta Vallarta. We had an extremely early flight out of NYC....5:45 am. So you can imagine how early we had to get up. The kids were off schedule completely (picture Liliana running around LaGuardia at 4 am) but they did great considering. We had all planned to sit together (even reserved in advanced) but there were only rows of three on each plane. With the two kids and Nana and ourselves, that made five and there are only four oxygen masks for each row. So we had to split up on each leg. But it worked and I have to say while flying with toddlers is a whole new experience, one which is slightly draining, its so worth it so that they can have these experiences. Here are some travel day pics.

After eating breakfast in Houston, we went over to our gate that had this huge window that the kids could look out of and watch the planes.

Yep, he looks like he was woken up at 2:30 am!

Liliana "reading" during the layover.

Papi and Lucas boarding the flight to Puerta Vallarta. This plane was not full, so we kept the middle seat open and Nana moved to the exit aisle in front of us which gave her lots of leg room.

We finally arrived, our car was waiting for us and it was a quick 10 minute drive to the airport. We checked in and just crashed.
