The twins have started using plates at meal time. We thought (while in Mexico) that it was about time. Lucas seems more into it than Liliana. She doesn't quite understand the point, which often results in her just emptying her food onto her tray. Oh well..in time.

Mystic!

In our down time we kept busy on the playground and with various activities around the resort. We did bowling one day. Pins were almost as big as the twins...but that seemed to make it more fun!
And finally I would like to thank my little production assistant who helped with all the sand messages I have posted here.

Downtown Puerta Vallarta had a great Malecon that we could walk along. It looked back at the hotels where we were staying. The first day we went down it was pretty dreary and started to drizzle.
Two days later, we decided to try again, this time with Nana. Liliana is sporting her hat as we wait in the lobby.
This is La Bodeguita del Medio of Ernest Hemmingway fame. He made it popular in Cuba and now they are a chain of bars in Latin America.
The theme in each one we have been to (this would be number 2) is that people write all over the walls, as you can see here.
They also had sand sculptures, which are lit up at night (Felix and I went out on the Malecon one night)
This was taken two days later. Felix and Liliana ventured back to the Malecon when Lucas was not feeling well. Quite the pose little lady!

Every night at the resort there was a show. There was a different theme for every night. We arrived on Wed. Friday AND Saturday night's shows were Disney. (Two different shows) So we brought the kids. Although it was a kids show, it didn't start until about 9:45 pm. These guys were up until almost 11 pm these nights...but they seemed to enjoy it.

At least part of every day was spent at the beach. And while we had a little trouble holding on to all our sand toys, the kids seemed to really like the beach.
A big favorite was playing by the water's edge. The twins really liked watching the waves crash in and the water come up. The waves weren't big at all. Lucas often liked to try and chase the water back out without realizing that another wave was on its way.
You can see the Sierra Madre mountains in the background. This was the backdrop to our vacation. It was beautiful.
One night we actually managed some nice pics after all that beach going.
