Kids on the Cape!

Felix and I decided to hit the road with the twins and take them for a quick trip up to Cape Cod. Both Felix and I are home all summer and after a while the pool, story time at the library and the Children's Museum gets old. So we decided we needed a change of scenery. So we booked a hotel and loaded up the kids after church and off we went. The place we booked is actually a resort. We got a good deal since it was last minute and we didn't get to pick the type of room. It was called "Run of the House" which meant that they would give us what was available when we arrived. We were a little wary, but check it out....this is the outside of our "villa". This townhouse includes four units.

We have a living room area....

A kitchenette with dishes, glasses, etc.

Lots of room for the kids to run around....

Our bedroom....(kids sleep in their pack and plays in the living room)

Liliana was exploring and when she opened this door we found out that we had a washer and dryer...go figure!

After marvelling in what our flexibility in time got us, we were hungry and decided to go out to eat. We went to the Hearth and Kettle. I have fond memories of going here with my family when I went to camp up here and they would come to visit. And when we walked in, it was like nothing had changed...

Lucas playing at the hearth...

Once back at the room we decided to go for a swim. Found out that I forgot Liliana's swim suit, so she wore one of Lucas' with her swim shirt...

They kids had a ball in the pool and while they protested bed for a little while, it was a losing battle and they are out like a light.

Tomorrow it is off to camp and bike riding on the bikepath!
