This morning we all woke up rested and ready to start the day. We heard rain was on the way, so we got an early start. We ate at the Reef Cafe, a little buffet place on the resort that overlooks the pool and golf course. It was very quiet since not that many people were up yet. The twins got a compliment from a couple who noted how well behaved they were.
After breakfast it was off to CCSC, my old camp. I went here from when I was 12-16. It was (still is) a great camp and there were a lot of memories revisited during this visit.
In the dining hall is a plaque made by each unit with the campers names on it for each year. I was happy to see they still had mine from almost 20 years ago! Check out Julie Scarpa's (high school buddy-and the friend who sang at my wedding for those of you who were there) name next to mine. Julie introduced me to this camp in 5th grade.
We visited the riflery range. Many of you might not know but I was extremely good at riflery... reached the second highest award level the camp offered.
The weatherman said that there would be about three-four hours of a break between storms, so the minute it stopped we were up and out on the bike path.
As you can see behind me, the trails go on for ever. We biked for almost an hour. It was a great day.
