ReUnion!

Yep, it's been 15 years since I graduated college...if that is even possible.  It was our reunion this weekend, so we headed up to the school.
Saturday morning we were on the campus early and obviously all the students were asleep, and the kids had the run of the land.

We brought their scooters since the campus is quite big and it helped with getting them around.  Here is Liliana with the Nott Memorial...the only 16 sided figure in the northern hemisphere.  It is also the place where a "clothing free" student ritual takes place (but they leave that out of the tour)

Lucas in front of Bailey Hall (the math building) where I spent oh so many of my hours learning and studying.

Saturday morning there was the alumni parade.  These old cars lead the way with a bagpipe band and all the classes having a 10th,15th, 20th, etc. reunion line up and parade around the campus.

This is the class of '68 or some of them at least.  The man in the straw hat is Josh's father, it was his 45th reunion.

Our kids LOVED being in the parade .

The bagpipers.

It was extremely hot, and so we went to visit the Nott, since it has an art gallery on the second floor and so is air conditioned.

Liliana was amazed by this building, and I had forgotten just how beautiful it was.

Lucas relaxing at a study table on the third floor...another location of countless hours spent studying.

At noon we were off to the family picnic/carnival.  Yes that is my husband rock climbing...

They had an ice cream truck that gave out free ice cream!  (and a beer truck that gave out free beer!)

Some of the girls (l to r, Jenn Amann-one of my junior year roommates, Lindsay, Lindsay's son Asa, Liliana , me,Stacey and Rachel)

Saturday evening we left the kids at Josh's parent's house (where we were staying) and enjoyed an evening event for our class and fireworks on the lawn at the Nott.  It was really fun -and nostalgic!- to go back.  Union really is a beautiful school and I have so many good memories from my years there.  We are sure to be back for our 20th in five years!
