Camping!

A while ago, we decided that camping would be a fun thing to do with the kids. We bought a tent in the fall of last year, and got a really good deal on one.  So in January of this year, we booked a weekend camping trip for Mother's Day weekend.  The place was in the Catskills and we didn't know how the kids would do, how cold it would be, etc.  Luckily for us, they have a lot of  options and we opted for a rustic two room cabin.  It allowed us to have heat and a refrigerator (and a TV, which we kept off almost all weekend). But it had no running water, so we still had to walk over to the bath houses to bathe, go to the bathroom, etc. We had to cook outside.   There was a faucet out back for washing dishes, etc.

Here we are, all ready to go.

We had Cabin 122.

This is a good view of our cabin...hard to picture two rooms in there, but there were.

There was a double bed and TWO sets of bunk beds. Each of the twins got to sleep on the top bunk.

In between the bunks, they had a table where they could eat, color, etc.

Stay tuned for more of our adventures.
