So, being exiled from your house, but not allowed to leave for long periods of time can be a bit tricky with two toddlers. There is only so much playing with bikes, scooters and water tables they will put up with.
The playground at McDonald's was a big hit, but short lived since we had to head home pretty quickly after breakfast.
In anitcipation of this, I went to a local crafts store and bought washable paint and these little wooden shapes that the kids could paint (stars, hearts, sqaures, triangles, etc.)
I stripped them down to the bare minimum , laid out a tablecloth with rocks to hold it down, and they went to work.
The paint is completely washable and rinses off with the first contact with water. So after a nice bath, we had a little picnic on the floor of my room.
Another treat is that we get to have breakfast outside (as we did this morning). Why don't we do this every morning?
The painters are finishing this morning and we will have our house back thankfully. Stay tuned for pics.
