Practice makes perfect..even if it is with a Cabbage Patch Kid!

Well, my obligations to school are finally finished...midterm exams are graded and report cards have been entered online. Felix and I just finished getting all the necessary items we need off the registry, and so now all there is to do is relax and wait.

So given the all the time I have on my hands I found a Cabbage Patch Kid doll that I think we might have gotten from my brother and his wife in a bag of toys we got. And even though the doll is probably more representative of a 9-10 pound baby (I am totally guessing here) I thought I would practice my swaddling technique before the little ones come.

Pretty good huh? I have to confess it's done with one of those swaddling blankets that hold with velcro, but I was proud nonetheless.

We also just got two adorable little Union College hoodie sweatshirts from a former student of mine. She was up at Union looking at the school and bought the sweatshirts for the twins...too cute.

Today marks Week 31!!! We feel extremely lucky and happy that I am still at home and although my movement seems to be more limited everyday, I am feeling good and actually still able to get a good amount of sleep. Let the good fortune continue.

  1. Her name is Sha-nay-nay. She was Caeley's second baby. Then one day she just disappeared! (into the give-away bin ;)) Glad she is giving you guys some good practice.
We are so happy you and the babies are still going strong together. We love you guys. Pete and I are thinking about dropping off some stuff to you this coming weekend. We have bags of toys and clothes, a backpack for when they're older, changing table and other goodies. Hopefully we'll see you. Pete will give you a call. xoxo christie
