Baking...

Every year I make some sort of holiday treat to give out to Felix's family, my coworkers, the women who work in the nursery at church, etc.  I had some extra frozen gingerbread dough left in the freezer, so I made a bit more and started the holiday treats.  Liliana was curious right away, and was more than willing to lend a hand.

It took a bit longer than expected, but we got them all done...

And all boxed up...

Setti's Christmas Village

There's a local house here in Norwalk that goes a little over the top when it comes to Christmas lights.  It has become quite the Norwalk tradition.  This guy starts decorating his house in August and it is open for visitors Thanksgiving night. For no charge, this man and his family let hundreds of people walk around their property each Christmas.  It draws such a crowd that during the holidays, his road gets turned into a one way road to keep the traffic reasonable.  His neighbors must LOVE him!

Oh we found Cinderella!

and the Lion King!

Gingerbread Houses

The Norwalk Library had a great program this afternoon.  From 3-4, they had a gingerbread house workshop for 3 and 4 year olds.

Waiting for the fun to start and admiring the Christmas houses on display.

Let the fun begin!

Decorating or eating?  Who cares! (And yes that is frosting on his nose!)

The masterpieces.....

We all left covered in frosting....oh well....  :-)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Well, after much laboring, the Christmas stockings are done.  They took a long time and they are not your traditional Christmas colors, but hey.

They are (left to right) mine, Lucas', Liliana's and Felix's.   Liliana's is really pink and yellow although it looks orange here.

Inside of Liliana's.....making a lining so that no raw edges showed gave the stockings a nice touch.

Lucas's

Mine...

Felix's

Liliana loving her stocking.  The last night I worked downstairs at the dining room table and she sat by side faithfully handing me pins and playing with fabric scraps.  A future quilter in the works?

And our tree is up and doing well.

Stay tuned for Gingerbread house making later this week!

Twin Party!

Call me crazy..but I thought it would be fun to invite our "twin" friends over this holiday season to have a cookie decorating party.  Of course this meant four sets of twins, age three and under, and all the madness that this includes.   But it proved to be a great time.

The calm before the storm...table all set for cookie decorating.

Felix bought this "color on" castle for the kids to play with.

How many twins can you fit in a castle?  You can't see them all, but I think there are five in there.

Hola Malena!

Having a great time at the end of the night.

Thanks go out to the Lewertoff, Roxbury and Gomez (yes Gomez!) families for coming out to help us enjoy the craziness and beauty of raising twins.
