Maine..Walker Pond

There is a local pond right down the road from the house we stayed at. Great little swimming area for kids. We spent two afternoons down there and the kids had a blast!

Maine...hiking...

We are back from Maine and we have so much to tell! It was so wonderful up there. For those who don't know, Felix and I visited with Josh and Marika (whose wedding we met at) and stayed up there at Marika's parents' house near Deer Isle.

The first day there, their kids were in camp and so Felix and I headed out for a morning adventure with the twins. Found this nice nature preserve that we were able to bike and hike through. The kids were great sports.

Afterwards, we went for a nice lunch on the water in Stonington. The kids pack at the restaurant had loads of stickers for each kid, which all ended up on their faces.

Trying to keep cool part 2...

This afternoon we went over to our friends Giovanna and David's house for a BBQ and a swim. Great way to beat the heat since their pool is mostly in the shade and VERY refreshing!

Trying to stay cool...

We are trying to beat the heat these days without having to be couped up in the AC all day. This morning we went over to our neighbor's house to cool off in their play pool with their son Cameron.

After naptime, we headed to the beach...

Packed a dinner and all...we weren't coming back until bedtime....

This evening they were like Zombie's watching tv before bed. Bedtime was a cinch!

Happy Birthday Nana and Wendy!

Nana's birthday was this past Friday and Wendy's is this coming Friday, so after church on Sunday we all went out to Bertucci's to celebrate.

Book fair...

After yesterday's marathon day we laid low for most of today. After the kids woke up from their nap, we ventured over to Westport for their annual library book sale. Not that we need more books, but hey.

What a day!

We had quite a fun packed day today. We headed off early to see Brad Paisley perform live in Central Park for Good Morning America.

After some breakfast, we headed to the Bronx Zoo.

The zoo has a new 3-D Dora and Diego show. It was FABULOUS!
