Dinner at the beach

It was just too beautiful today to come home and do the normal routine of letting the kids play a bit, dinner, bath and bed. So Felix got home early, we both went to pick them up, grabbed some food at Stews and went to the beach to have dinner on this warm evening.

And after a swing ride (of course) dinner was served right there on the beach. It was a beautiful evening and the air wore the kids out.

Math Babies!

We found these two old graphing calculators lying around the house and they are the new rage here in the Gomez house. I think they think they are remote controls to the tv...ha ha.

Let's get them loving math while they are still young!

I know it has been a while. This week was a long one..kids were sick, Felix and I were both a bit sick and now the weekend is finally here and we are able to just hang around and relax. Last weekend, Felix and Liliana went to NJ to visit with Abuela, Natacha, Hugo and Camilla. I stayed back with Lucas since he had a fever. From the looks of it, Liliana had a great time!

Look at us in our car cart at Stop and Shop! They LOVED it..made shopping easier for me too since Liliana was not able to constantly unload the bags as I pack them!

A new hat!

THis is a little grainy since it was taken with a phone. But this is Lucas' new hat. Nana gave it to him. We went out to eat by the water tonight and he looked so grown up in it. Wish it were clearer...oh well.

A look back...

While I was walking to Good Friday service yesterday, I realized that Good Friday was the first time we took the twins to church last year. These are the pictures from the post from that day....

An afternoon in Riverdale

This afternoon, we took the twins down to Riverdale to see Felix's boss Harris.

Here Liliana and Felix are goofing off before we leave...




The twins had fun with Harris' terrier Peanut. I think Peanut was a little unsure about them.

We then walked down to the playground. They had a special playground just for really little kids.

This was the FIRST time Lucas was willing to crawl on anything that was not hard floors or carpet. It has been an issue with him always. Good going little guy!

The playground had all these toys the kids could play with.

A day with friends

This weekend we went to visit Josh and Marika (Liliana's godparents). They just moved into a new home and so we went down to see them and their new abode. They had this great little playroom and Lucas and Liliana had a great time.

Lucas is in the newspaper...

Yesterday, Naramake Elementary, the local elementary school had a tag sale. We went up to see what they were selling. There were plenty of toys and Lucas and Liliana took turns riding on this rocking blue plastic dog. Well, a woman from the newspaper was there and asked if she could take pictures of them. Lucas' picture made it in to the paper, and we saw it this morning..take a look. Would it be over the top if I laminated and framed it? LOL! (You know I will!)

p.s. you get a good view of Liliana's backside in the pic..she is busy digging into some other box of toys.

Los Globos!

Last weekend we were in the city and got these balloons. The twins love balloons and they were a big hit once again!

No balloon here, just Lucas riding around on his giraffe....he's getting very good at it these days..can get on and off all by himself and can push himself around without help.

Self imposed time out...

Lucas got upset the other night because I took the remote control away from him...an ongoing battle with these two. Anyway, he got so upset, he decided to go sit in the corner (on the side of the toy shelves) and pout and cry it out...I didn't put him there..he was just determined to go and cry on his own...sort of like a self imposed time out. Interesting....

What a Day!

The weather continues to be gorgeous, and I continue to have no school, so we met Nana for lunch today and went to Bruce Park for the afternoon.

Liliana was all sorts of curious...

Unfortunately, she stumbled on the slide and hit her head and got a bloody nose. So we took her to the doctor just to make sure she was ok (last time we thought she was ok, she had a broken leg for a week) We got the all clear from the doc...nothing major.

Afterwards, we went to Stews and the twins enjoyed some free samples of rice cakes.

When Felix got home we took them for a stroll in their wagon down to the town green with the gazebo...no doubt they will sleep tonight (as will I) Everyone is back to the normal routine tomorrow as I have been summoned back to work..it was fun while it lasted!

A new mode of transport...

We found this up in the attic...its a backpack to carry toddlers in. I think Pete and Christie might have given it to us (we know we did not buy it..but it is so cool, we might buy another, so we can carry both of them!)
