Activity Day!

The twins had quite a day out today.

Christina first took them out for breakfast...

Then they were off to the library for a gingerbread man decorating activity. It was only for 2 year olds, and so off they went! Sometimes I see them playing like this and it makes me so happy that they have each other....

Ready for the gingerbread men!

Lucas carefully crafting his creation...

And sampling it....

The final product! Masterpieces!
Then it was off to the museum for some fun...

Not too sure what this is about, but they have a great new dress up area in the toddler terrain area....she sure seems to enjoy it!

Thanks Christina for taking the camera along and getting it all!

Mac and Beans

The new favorite in our house is mac and cheese with black beans. Christina usually makes them a whole container and it can vanish in as quick as a weekend. Doesn't look too appealing on the plate, but they LOVE it and devour every bite!

The tree is up!

Last year the twins were afraid of the tree. This year, their interest is peaked. Decorating was very intriguing for them; they particularly liked playing with the set of defunct lights we had...great toy..maybe I should wrap that up and give it to them for Christmas.

Despite our barrier, it only took moments for the first ornament to fall....

They spent a long time looking at it and taking it all in....

Courtyard Lighting at the Museum

Because we can't seem to pack enough fun into one day, after we got home from NYC around 3:30 we had a quick (second) lunch and the we headed off the the museum for their holiday courtyard lighting ceremony. After all the hoopla in NYC, I have to say it was a bit anti-climatic. But the kids had fun...and that's all that matters.

They had heating lamps under the big tent outside..nice!

Some shots of indoor play as well...

Radio City!

What a big day we had today! We were up bright and early to start our trip to Radio City!

Lucas was all bright eyed....

Liliana on the other hand, was half asleep at breakfast....

First time trying on gloves....they were a big hit!

Papi outside of Caridad...a local haunt of his (we drove down to Washington Heights and then took the subway downtown)

Hanging out waiting for the 1 train.

We took a detour and stopped in Times Square...

Then we stopped at Rockefeller Center and of course saw the tree...

While we were there they were filming that NBC commercial where the news people all sing carols at the ice rink....it was pretty cool to watch...

There they all are...see Chuck S. in the middle?

Then we finally made it to Radio City.

Our seats were pretty good....

Getting ready for the show to start...

Ahhh...the wooden toy soldiers Rockette routine....a favorite of mine...

What was truly the best however, was watching Lucas and Liliana during the show. It was great to see them take it all in. Precious is what it really was...

This shot is for my mom...she always loved the nativity scene...

Hanging out on the subway heading back up town....

We made a quick stop at Felix's work to say hi..

All in all, it was a great day. And if that was not enough we made it home in time to go to the holiday courtyard lighting at the Children's Museum...that we will save for another post.

Thankful Part 4.....

Least we forget, Christina, who we are so thankful for. Thank you for taking such good care of our little ones!
