Snow Snow Snow!

Well, if you don't live on the eastern seaboard and you haven't heard by now, we were hit with a major snowstorm last night. It was great! Last night Felix and I took some pics when the storm started...

In the morning, the kids were very interested in the sudden change of scenery!

After church we took the kids out for a sled ride..which consisted of going up and down our driveway twice.

Lucas was tired, so he went in, so Liliana and I stayed out a little longer and played.

And then she did a faceplant in the snow and it was all over. Poor thing.

In the evening, Lucas and Felix stayed home and Liliana and I ventured out to church for Carols. A beautiful service. I decided to take Liliana down in the wagon. She loved it!

When Liliana and I came out from Carols, the town green was all lit up. Now it really feels like Christmas!

Warm, snuggly days...

Its been so cold lately. The twins have been home since Thursday hanging around the house. Nice winter days to make a fire and just relax.

We purchased this fire gate from another mother of twins. It's great in that it keeps the kids away from the fire and all the tools and supplies that come with it.

Slowly they are becoming more intrigued by the fire...so perhaps this was a good thing.

Cheerios and Books!

It's all about Cheerios and books in our house these days. Cheerios have been a big hit for a while now...

Lucas is no fool. After his meal, he hunts for the Cheerios that have dropped on the floor and he eats them up before we can sweep them up. A little dirt never hurt anyone (is it bad that I am posting pics of my child eating off the floor? lol!)

And now Lucas has gotten into the book kick. They are fascinated by books these days, looking at the pictures, turning pages..they love them!

Too Cold!!!

Last night we flirted with the idea of taking the twins to Bertucci's for dinner with us, but it was just too cold. So we stayed in all night just as we will do all day today. Too cold!

Felix and I have decided to take all the twins regular books and put them aside for when they are older. Now, they only play with soft books or board books, where the pages are thick boards of material. This way they cannot rip the pages.

Felix just bought a new book "Que Flota?" which is a soft book they can even use in the bath. Of course Liliana was all over it..she loves books.



Lucas, well he on the other hand likes to eat books.....just like everything else!

Boys Time!

Last week while I was at the doctor's with Liliana getting her cast off, Felix picked up Lucas from the sitter and they spent some time playing out front on the driveway. Lucas LOVES the car...he is really good at it and the driveway gave him so much more extra space than our ground floor ever could!

So, we are starting to find it difficult to take pictures of the twins together...one is always crawling off somewhere. Here are some of the bloopers and out takes of yesterday when we were just trying to get one good picture!

You would think by putting them on a couch, they would be less mobile....not the case.

Lucas has just started pulling himself up on objects...so now he joins Liliana.

what a big day!

Good thing we rested up yesterday....today was jam packed! We started the day off at a birthday part for Lucy, a daughter of one of my co-workers, Robin, at MY GYM...a play place for little kids. The twins had a great time..so much to climb on and explore!

There was even a boy there, Xavier, close to their age. Although the twins wanted to treat him more like a toy...

We finished there...got home, had lunch and then it was off to the holiday party at Andrea's house. Andrea is the twins' sitter. What a party!

Santa even stopped by and gave the twins a gift..there was a gift for EVERY kid there...about 20 of them. Thanks Andrea for having us!

lazy day...

We had grand plans to go get our Christmas tree as a family today, but any of you on the northeast coast knows how yucky it is today. So we figured it was a fine day to lay around in our pajamas..we haven't done that in a long time.

The kids had a ball...



Liliana has taken a real liking to books..I think its the turning of pages that she likes.



We brought the play wall out again. We put it away for the baptism and it has never made it out of the garage since. The kids are a bit older now and they LOVE it! It's great for Liliana because she can pull herself up and walk from wall to wall.



And Lucas likes the "peek-a-boo" factor with the curtains...

Can you tell we have teeth coming in one right after the other?

Yeah! I get my cast off tomorrow!!!

Just hanging here...smoking my pipe, or tooting my horn, whatever it is I am supposed to be doing.
