Memorial Weekend Part III

And the weekend continues....Monday was the parade in Norwalk. We woke in the morning to severe thunderstorms. But all was clear by 9 am so down to East Avenue we went.

We got there just as the parade was reaching us....

Every year at the parade, they hand out flags to every single kid...makes the day even more "Americana".

It was hot so we headed out a little bit early. But once again, a great parade!

Memorial Weekend Part II

Jen and Brian stayed at our house afer Aileen's BBQ. On Sunday we went to Compo beach to enjoy the amazing weather. Lucas and Liliana are at an age now where they can really enjoy the beach without getting into too much trouble....it was a great relaxing afternoon for everyone.

Memorial Day Weekend Part 1

We headed down to Pelham yesterday for a BBQ at Aileen and Tim's house. A little Union College Reunion if you will.

Hammock was a real hit with the kids...

Tim and Aileen announced yesterday that they are expecting their first child in January! Congrats guys!

Twins night!

We went over to David and Giovanna's house tonight to hang out with them and Alessandro and Malena. Twin fun!

Beach!

The sun came out today and it was HOT! I took the kids down to the beach to play at the playground.

It was so hot, we decided to go down to the water, where I thought it would be cooler. There were a bunch of kids down there swimming in the water. The twins were pulling at their clothing asking to take it off so they could go in the water. So I took off everything I could, diapers, shirts, and left their shorts on. And into the cold water with all the other kids they went.

Afterwards, we had our first family dinner outside on the patio...welcome summer! Stay awhile!

Happy Birthday Mark and Derek!

Today we went to a twin birthday party for Mark and Derek, our neighbors up the street (just in case you are wondering, there are 4 sets of twins in our neighborhood-including us)

Mark and Derek are two, just a few months behind Lucas and Liliana.

Mark and Derek had these motorized ride on toys....a HUGE hit with our kids.

Friday afternoon

We feel lucky to live in a neighborhood where there are a lot of kids and friendly neighbors. This afternoon, we just hung out on the driveway and played and our neighbors came by and hung out with us.

Two years ago...

We have nothing new to report, but I was looking through pics and this is where they were exactly two years ago today. How time flies!

Helmets!

With the coming of Spring, comes the exploring of all that is in the garage, including bike helmets. They are all the rage these days!

Even while watching tv....

5K

We took the kids to the beach on Saturday. There was a 5K for cancer research going on...lots of music, people and things to see.

We spent the evening on LI at Josh and Marika's house. We had a nice dinner and the kids had a ball playing together. Sadly, we forgot the camera. :-(

The twins and Christina went with the other set of twins (Lucas and Josephine) to a play hour type of thing at the local neighborhood program.
