Halloween Part 2

We had a great second part to our Halloween. We had Elmo and Barney pumpkins...of course...

Having dinner before we head out.

Liliana was very excited and very impatient to get going...

There were a ton of kids and parents walking all around our neighborhood. Liliana was so excited she took off and was running all over the place with her pumpkin. Wasn't all that concerned with going to the houses...just liked all the excitement.

This is Ellen and Gordon our neighbors down the street.

Getting tired at the end of the night...they lasted almost an hour...much longer than I had imagined.

Lucas sorting out all his loot...

Not too sure he knows what it is (and no, they don't get to eat any of it) but he sure is proud.

Duck turned cowgirl. Happy Halloween everyone!

Halloween Part 1

Today we went to a party at our friend Jen's house. There were over 30 kids under the age of 5 there. It was quite the time. Liliana the duck and Lucas the dragon had a ton of fun.

Tossing the bean bags...

Elmo was also at the party....

Lucas was happy about that....

Felix the Chilean miner also made an appearance (I was a cowgirl).

Dinner was hot dogs but I think the twins might have just eaten potato chips for dinner...oh well.

After it got dark, the parents lined up around the cul-de-sac and handed out treats to the kids as they walked around. We had a friend hand out our treats so we could both help the twins.

Walking around in a circle and putting things in his pumpkin seemed to be the highlight for Lucas.

They made off with quite the collection of goodies and treats..

What a great night...stayed tuned for neighborhood Halloween tomorrow!

Abuela comes to visit.

Felix's mom came this week to spend some time with the twins. Yeah!

What a day!

I got home, Felix was working late, it was 77 degrees outside and so the twins and I were off to enjoy the afternoon.

We went to the beach and got to watch the kite surfers...or parachute surfers..not too sure what they are called.

He was pretty cool.

So many leaves...

We had a minor meltdown...

But then it was off to chase seagulls.

Making music with rocks on the table.

Afterwards we went out to eat at Jordan's. This was my first attempt at taking the twins out to eat on my own. It was great...they behaved wonderfully..I think they were just really tired and really hungry. Either way, it made for a nice dinner.

Hmmm...

Not too sure what is going on here...maybe just a phase?

Fall cleaning

Oh yes...the season for raking leaves and bagging them up for collection. The twins were out in full force to help Felix this past weekend while I was away.

Hanging around the house...

We recently got a new nanny-Christina...and she is wonderful! She comes to our house and the twins seem to really love her. Better yet, she speaks Spanish, so the twins will really be able to hear it on a consistent basis. The other day, Christina took these pics while the kids were home..wouldn't know they were under the weather, but they were.

Fingerpainting Debut

So I bought this fingerpaint from Crayola. It is clear until it goes on the paper, so no smocks, no mess, no nothing. It only works on this special paper and therefore makes everything much neater. They had a ball.

The final product...Liliana's on top, Lucas on bottom.

Stew's

We go to Stew's so often, its surprising that it doesn't come up more often on this blog. Today is Felix's birthday! But he is playing poker with his buddies tonight, so after a quick visit from Nana, we were off to Stews to see the animals and do some shopping.

Watching Henrietta Hen is always a favorite.

And then we hit the twin carriage and toured around the store watching every exhibit we could...I swear its like a mini amusement park to them.

As always..mesmerized by the Chiquita Banana lady.
