just an update

To all our loyal followers: Our computer crashed last week and we will be purchasing a new one soon. Until then we are using a laptop from Felix's work. We are not allowed to download any programs onto it, and so we cannot upload pictures to the blog. It will probably be about a week before we are back up and running. Just wanted to let you know so you won't waste your time checking in each day.

The family is great and the twins are enjoying the warm weather with their new baby pool and water table. Pics to come as soon as we are up and running. Until then....

Hot hot hot!

Today was pretty hot. During the day, the twins' sitter, Andrea, let them play in their sprinkler. When I picked them up, they were still in their "water attire".

Tried to take a pic with both of them....almost got it...

Second try wasn't much better...

We ended the evening by going down to Rye to have dinner on the water. It was a beautiful night....feels like summer might really be here to stay.

A big day...

There was a lot going on today. Grandpa stopped by for an early lunch and it was such a nice day, we were able to enjoy lunch outside.

After lunch, the Knight family stopped by. Their son here, Roland, is five months younger than the twins.

Roland also has an older sister Charlotte, seen here with Marika and Liliana.

Thomas the train has invaded our house...watch out!

This evening I drove the kids down to Stamford to meet Felix for dinner at Cosi's (think overpriced sandwiches on really yummy bread for those of you who do not know Cosi) Anyway, Lucas proceeded to throw a monumental fit, wouldn't sit in the highchair and as a result, Felix left early with him while Liliana and I finished our supper. Never had dinner with a 15 month old...very quiet.

When we got home, the king of fits was all smiles....funny...like nothing ever happened.



Tomorrow I am going to a baby shower for my friend Kelly. She and her husband Juan are expecting a baby boy next month. We offered her our baby swing since we do not use it. So we let the twins have one last go at the swing tonight.

Los Globos (cont.)

Well, globos (or balloons) are still all the rage in our house. Felix got some new ones to welcome me back from my trip. The kids love them and even sometimes hold them while they eat.

Fresh Corn!

Stew's had its first delivery of fresh corn this weekend. Nothing says summer like warm nights and corn on the cob for dinner...a big hit in our house!

An afternoon at Mead Park

Some friends of our from church were going to be at Mead Park this afternoon so after church, lunch and a nap, we headed out to New Canaan. The park was really nice, lots of things that the twins could do, which is not always the case with many parks. Some highlights.

Lucas is forever climbing UP slides. He loves it, and although he is not walking, he can scoot up a slide faster than Liliana can.

He is also a big fan of crawling through tunnels.

It was really hot, so we took a break by the pond for a snack and some cold drinks.

And then Liliana was off chasing the geese down.

But she soon stopped when she got close...wise little girl.

All Saints Catholic School had a HUGE tag sale this morning and we were able to pick up this play cube for the twins for an incredibly great price...the twins seem to love it.

Even room for two!
