Happy Birthday!

Well, believe it or not, I believe this is my 200th post! And how fitting it should fall on the post of the twins first birthday. The video with all the festivities is on FB..video doesn't seem to work on blogger these days. But here are some cute pics.

some new video

I know I have been hit or miss on the blog lately. Here is some video for you. The first clip is Lucas trying to get out of his chair while strapped in and the last two are of the twins as they experiment with this walking thing. (just a note: Blogger has been weird lately, so if you can't see the video, sorry. If that is the case, I will post to Facebook too)

Play time...

We are very lucky in that the twins are very good at keeping themselves occupied. They like to play together quite a bit. Maybe it is a twin thing.



Every so often though, we have to intervene, like the other day when Liliana has Lucas pinned against the couch. Even though he is bigger, try as he may, he couldn't get her to budge!

Danbury Mall

As I said in the previous post, yesterday we went to Danbury Mall. The twins loved the water sculpture...

After photos and some shopping, we took them to the kid area and they were able to play a bit.

Lucas wanted to break out of the little tot area so badly...

We then went on the carousel..a first for the twins. We even got to ride for free since they are not yet one year old.

Lucas was fine until the ride started and I think it was all a bit much for him. The horse moving...the carousel moving..he cried almost the whole ride. Liliana loved it though.

And of course so much activity wore them out and Liliana was the first to fall asleep. I took this picture while she slept next to me as I ate my ice cream while the boys went back to the play area.

One Year Photos

We went to Sears today to take the twins' one year photos. Looking at them I'm starting to realize how unruly Lucas' hair is slowly becoming. It's cute now, but how long will it last? The twins were good for the shoot. Smiles not as big as last time, but I think they were more aware of what was going on and a little taken a back by it all. We spent the afternoon in the mall (Danbury). Pics of all that, including our first carousel ride tomorrow. Enjoy!

Strangely enough, Liliana who has been up on her feet the longest of the two, refused to stand for this shot. So we let her sit.

Matching....

This pic was taken while the twins were home sick. Cute matching pjs right? Funny thing is...I got them from different places. Lucas' I bought at a store and Liliana's was purchased at the mother of multiples tag sale this Oct. And yet they still match! Funny, huh?

Wagon ride...

Well, Team Gomez is officially in recovery. It took a while, but we are all feeling better now. Today was quite mild...for January that is. It was about 45 and sunny. So I thought it would be good to take the kids outside for a brief bit of fresh air. What better than a wagon ride? This was the first time they had both been in it together and how they loved it. We just went for a quick stroll around the neighborhood and back inside. Nice to get out and get some air though.

Year One...

I don't know what was harder...sifting through the countless photos and videos or trying not to cry as I put this together. Time goes too fast! Enjoy!

A look back

The twins have been quite sick lately. The docs say Lucas has viral pnuemonia and Liliana doesn't seem to be faring much better. They have been sick now for about a week. Today was the first day in a long time that they have seemed like themselves..so no worries...we are on the mend. Since we have no pics to share, I thought I would post a video from Christmas. Liliana got this singing dog from Nana for Christmas. However, Lucas seems to love it more...he likes to move to the beat when it comes on...check it out! (also, thanks to Pete for lending me his editing software so I can now put together clips of different video!)

A play date with Trixie!

The other day Joanna came over with her daughter Beatrix. Joanna and I went to high school together...actually, we went to elementary, middle and high school together. She and her family live in MA now, but they were down for the holidays. Her daughter Beatrix is about two months older than the twins...perfect play date age!
