New Year's Eve

It seems that the twins are staying up later and later as vacation goes on....what the heck! It's New Year's Eve. Here they are climbing around in Lucas' crib (in the buff mind you) while their bath water is running. Note how low the crib mattresses are now...they are too close to falling out if they jump these days...so down they went....

The Gomez twins are published!

I have never been good about updating my life progress for the Union College Alumni magazine. Three times a year I read up on what other grads from my year are up to, but I never get around to writing in myself. Thought I would for my wedding, but nope, never did. So now with the twins, and the ease of uploading digital pics, I thought I would...here is the issue that came in the mail the other day...

There is a whole arrivals section...can you see them?

And a closeup of their pic..it's from the Sears sitting. I also wrote a little blurb about them, but I didn't take a a pic of that...

The Nashville Sullivans are back!

Pete and his kids came back for a few days at our house. These are the outfits that Andrea...the kids' sitter got them for Christmas..thanks Andrea!

The cousins playing...

Today we went to the Children's Museum, but since it was so cold..had to get the twins bundled up. They hated it..they always do...

Playing at the museum...

We then went to Black Bear to have lunch with Nana and Connie.

Great, but exhausting day for all. Right now the kids are all napping, resting up for some pizza making tonight!

A day out for Mami and Papi!

Last night I got a message from Jen that she and Brian had two extra tickets to the Giants today. While it meant some wheeling and dealing in the late hours, we were lucky enough to have Felix's sister, Natacha happily agree to watch them so we could go to the game.

Morning of game day..Lucas is up and ready!

Packing all the twins' stuff that needed to be taken with them to Natacha's.

Getting set up at Natacha's...

Felix and I at the game...

Jen and Brian.

The seats were great..and the weather was amazing...50 degrees and sunny...I actually took my coat OFF!

Much to our liking, the Giants were getting trounced!

Felix enjoying the view...

And the trouncing continues...

And then some more...until the clock actually put the Giants and their fans out of their misery.
As much as we didn't want the Giants to win, I did feel bad for the fans. This was the last home game in Giants Stadium..they are building a new one which will open next year. And this wasn't a great way to go out...

Jen and I getting ready for a picture...wait! we aren't ready!

OK, now we are ready....

We picked up the kids from Natacha's and headed back...this was at a gas station we stopped at. Liliana was having none of it...she wanted to get home and eat! Soon after this was taken, Lucas joined in on the misery.

And then we were home and having our Cheerios...everything is better with Cheerios!

Thanks again to Brian and Jen for offering us a day out! And thanks to Natacha for taking on two little ones for 5+ hours! Not an easy task!

All tuckered out...

We have had a couple of really busy days...lots of family to see and lots of excitement. Today was the first real "down" day we have had since last weekend. Liliana made full use of her nap time, savoring every moment she could.

Christmas!

We celebrated Christmas morning at our house. We let the twins sleep (nap) and the adults exchanged gifts. This was a blanket my mother got for Felix's mom.

Both grandmothers enjoying their calendars.

Wendy and her Barbie..oh yeah!

Connie and her angel.

Once we were done, we went to get the twins....Nana got them these hats that said "Baby's first Christmas" too cute...

haha! we look funny with our hats...

Opening...opening...opening...

Thank you Tia Natacha!

Our first piggy banks...never too early to start saving...

Our new activity play table.

Abuela acting silly and putting on quite a show!

Liliana playing with her toy from Natacha....

They were mesmerized by it.

Out of my way! It's mine!

Yeah Christmas!

The twins did receive a lot of gifts. And while not all of them are pictured here...thank you to everyone...I assure you, our living room is like a wonderland to them now! Thank you.
